blog badge for human rights on the US/Mexico border

Hi BlogParaTodos,

We’re learning all about the big world of blogs and internet organizing over here at Border Action and we just created our first blog ad.  Are you interested in posting it on your site?

Our goal for the web ad is to raise money for our campaign to train hundreds of “defensores comunitarias/community defenders” who will be able to document civil and human rights violations by law enforcement agencies and employers.

Working with our allies (Border Network for Human Rights www.bnhr.org) along the border we are creating comites of people in each border state who will go door-to-door to document the violations of immigrant’s and border resident’s human rights. This information will be added to an on-line secure database shared with border organizations from New Mexico, Texas and California. We’ll co-produce a series of reports with an international human rights organization analyzing the patterns of abuse. And then we’ll use those reports to mobilize our communities to insist on human rights for all, but also to pressure local agencies and officials to change their practices and national policy-makers to change their policies and prevent rights violations.

By posting our blog badge you will be a part of this important campaign for immigrant rights and human rights on the border. This is a critical time and I hope that you can help us support human rights for immigrants and border residents.

The badge is here: http://www.wordofblog.net/info.php?id=868

And this is the html code to insert it.

<div style="text-align:center"><A HREF="http://www.wordofblog.net/redirect.php?id=868&uid=1434"><IMG SRC="http://www.wordofblog.net/ad_images/8681434.jpg" BORDER="0"></A><BR> <FONT SIZE=1><A HREF="http://www.wordofblog.net/info.php?id=868">Want this badge?</A></FONT></div>

Thanks in advance.

Randall

Gracias for your post. It is important for all of us to quickly learn how to use Internet Power and whatever other skills we need in order to advocate for immigrant rights to be respected and for humane rights in general.
