March & Rally to Stop the War in Iraq!

Join us and thousands of women and men at Saturday’s antiwar protest marking 5 years since the US invaded Iraq. Hear Cynthia McKinney, Ron Kovic, Paul Haggis, Gore Vidal, Mark Ruffalo, Jackson Browne & more.

80% of the casualties of war are women & children. $1 trillion a year is spent on the military worldwide, more than half by the US. 10% of this would provide the essentials of life for all: water, sanitation, housing, healthcare, nutrition, literacy… We are demanding the return of military budgets to the community, beginning with women, the main carers of people and the planet. For elders and people with disabilities, for protestors who can't do the 1-mile march, there are a small number of slots for people to ride in a truck along the march route. You can consider attending the opening portion at Hollywood and Vine, then take the bus or walk three short blocks to the end rally site at Sunset and Cahuenga. For questions, check in at the ANSWER volunteer table when you arrive. There will be restroom facilities
