Sacramento, California:

Above is a collage of pixtures of the Sacra Marcha going up West Capitol Avenue. It was great to see the beauty, courage and power of 'La Raza Cosmica'. There is strength in numbers and pictures can say many words, especially for people who have long been taken for granted and now have a common noble cause that brings them together. Repression breeds resistance!
The main chant shouted out and heard today was 'Si Se Puede' ~ Spanish for 'Yes, we can!'

Above is a hermana carrying signs that reminds us of our First Martyr Anthony Soltero in whose memory I dedicate this day.
Walking along with the gente gave me a good bundle of deep emotions and fervent feelings, such as, honest pride in all us marching together united as one, a bold new confidence in knowing we are not alone in our struggles and strong determination to march onward together into the future!

Above is a picture of the Sacra Marcha as the marchers came around in front of the State Capitol. There were many American flags and Mexican flags flying together in the spirit of harmony. We love the United States, despites its many faults, and we love Mexico, despite its many flaws. We belong to Mother Earth, not passing governments!
We, as a unique beautiful people, know that we are of the original indigenous native peoples of these lands and have been since time immemorial. We are already at home! We are in our own country no matter what side of the U.S.-Mexican border we are standing on!
We know we cannot be foreigners or aliens in our own land, in the ancient land of our ancestors and still remember the violated 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo between the U.S. and Mexican governments.
Many insane fools who are anti-immigrants and anti-immigration reform are actually hiding behind a thinly veiled disguised racism.
From now on we are boycotting the Governator Arnold's movies for his racist-fascist disrespect of Mexican people, even though the fascist fool was himself once an immigrant!
The Sacra Marcha gathered up on the South Side of the State Capitol Building, but this was not the end of the Marcha. It was but another beginning!
Hermano Al Rojas was the main leader for the day. He spoke with clarity, courage and conviction, in Spanish and English, about the need for each of us to go back to our homes, to return to our communities and for each one of us to become organizers for the next historic event on May 1st!
A lot of good people worked together and helped bring this Sacramento March together. All of the credit ultimately should go to La Raza Cosmica who had the courage to show up and exhibit the beauty of our unity as a people united with all peoples who continue to fight for democracy, peace and justice!
The local Sacramento coalition working on Immigrant Rights is headed by a group called the Campaign Against Unjust Immigration Laws.

Our next mass gathering is scheduled for Lunes/Monday~ May 1st, 2006 once again at the California State Capitol Building. We will and should wisely use the time between today ~ Lunes/Monday the 10th of April ~ up to Lunes/Monday on May 1st, 2006 to spread the word out to our many communities about the next great day!
We need to bring more and more people together for humane rights in general and immigrant rights in particular. Immigrant rights are humane rights!
Let there be more and more Spiritual Awakenings among all our people! The so-called Sleeping Giant is wide awake! There were marches and rallies all across the United States and throughout Aztlan today!
La Raza Cosmica is waking up fast to their natural power and their potential power as a noble chosen people whose time has come!
Beyond this Movimiento being merely a new civil rights movement in a racist, barbaric and uncivilized country, this is actually all about the emergence of a new humane rights movement and the fight for humane rights on a worldwide scale!
We must settle all of our petty differences, cast out demons of division and come together united as One People upon One Mother Earth under One Creator God for true liberty and justice for all!
