ATENCO: Who is still in prison? ¿Quién sigue en la cárcel?

The list of compas still in jail is being updated regularly at the Centro de Medios Libres Ciudad de México.

Based on the last update (May 24), there are still 31 people in jail including 5 women, between 133 and 144 are being processed but are out of prison on bail, and 34 are dissapeared:

• 3 compas are locked in the maximum security jail of La Palma (Almoloya).


• 25 with serious charges are in the santiaguito prison (including 5 women)


• 3 who can leave with bail are still in santiaguito


• 131 are presumed to have left with bail but have not confirmed


• 2 more are our according to mass media reports


• 34 people have not been accounted for (disappeared)


• 17 had been originally released for lack of evidence but the state is appealing


• 34 compas have confirmed their release
