Action: Call LAUSD Board Members & Peña Cultural (2/16/07) & Charter Hearing (2/27/07)

1. Charter Hearing-27^th of February. We are only 2 weeks away from our charter hearing. We do not know the time but the hearing will take place at the LAUSD Board Room at 333 Beaudry Avenue . We need as many people present on this day with their green, “I support Academia Semillas Del Pueblo” t-shirts.
2. CALL LAUSD BOARD MEMBERS: We are asking as many people as possible to make calls and send emails/letter to all the 7 LAUSD Board members because they are the ones making the final decision on the Charter Renewal. Once you have made your call or send your letter/email please send an email to support@dignidad.org and let us know if you have called/emailed/send a letter to the Board Members because we are taking a count of our support so far.
3. Peña Cultural: You are invited to attend our Cultural Peña, Peña Cultural on Friday, February 16, 2007 from 6-8pm at El Sereno Middle School ( 2839 N. Eastern Avenue as we celebrate the accomplishments of the Semillas community and prepare for our charter renewal hearing.
• There we will have Danza Azteca,
• An original Play performed by our parents and students that was written by Mario Rocha,
• Receive an update on the charter renewal and how to support
• Live Performance by Quinto Sol.
