STUDENTS IN SOLIDARITY: an Immigrants' Rights Coalition DENOUNCIATION

Students in Solidarity emerged out of the local movements in Pomona to end the racist police checkpoints that harass and instill fear into our working class communities of color. This coalition embodies a variety of students from the Inland (Pomona) Valley who come from different schools of academia, classes, races, ethnicities, sexualities, genders and progressive-leftist political views.

Students in Solidarity: an Immigrants’ Rights Coalition DENOUNCIATION:

As a united student body we DENOUNCE the RACIST ICE raids that TEAR families apart, STEAL workers from their jobs, RIP students from their schools and DESTROY OUR COMMUNITIES.

PRESIDENT OBAMA:

During your campaign you DENOUNCED ICE RAIDS as TERROR, but since your inauguration ICE raids, RACIST POLICE ACTIONS, and DEPORTATIONS have continued WITHOUT CHANGE. IMMIGRANT ARREST QUOTAS have been instated and RAISED.

We hold YOU, President Obama, and all police and Immigration Officials accountable for perpetuating and escalating these CRIMINAL INJUSTICES.

We stand in SOLIDARITY with our FRIENDS who have fallen VICTIM to a BROKEN IMMIGRATION SYSTEM, and we DEMAND an end to STATE SANCTIONED POLICE TERRORISM in our neighborhoods, and to immigration laws that create HATRED and incite VIOLENCE.

Join Students in Solidarity to learn about and act against RACIST OPPRESSION in our communities and to demand the recognition that NO HUMAN IS ILLEGAL.
